Harvest of Quilts X Quilt Show - September 25 - 26, 2010

Block Contest Information

Each year at the quilt show we host a Block Contest with the same theme as our Quilt Show. Entrants are asked to construct a quilt block which demonstrates the show theme (this year it is "Oh My Stars ") and submit the block for judging and display. Prizes are awarded and the blocks are left on display for the duration of the show. If you can't finish a whole quilt to enter for the show, why not try a single block? Rules are below.

 
Rules for the Block Contest

Theme:  "Country Images " is our guild's block contest theme for this year.

Size: 12 1/2"" x 12 1/2" square. Seam allowance is included.  Do not finish edges.

Design:  The choice is yours!  Be creative and orignal.  How do you interpret "Country Images "?   Piecing, applique or any recognized quilt technique is acceptable.

Prizes:  Ribbons

Details: Ribbons will be awarded prior to the show.  All blocks will be displayed at the show (Country Quilters Guild reserves the right to disqualify any entry if it is deemed not worthy of display).
